Matthew Ch.7

“Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.

Verse 6

Jesus says not to give sacred things and precious things to dogs because they will treat the precious things as valueless and even do harm to us.

So then who are dogs? Before knowing people’s kind of dogs we have to know the characteristics of dogs. Dogs are animals without knowledge of pearls and sacred things. They do not have any recognition to do something so they do all the things by instinct.

So people kind of dogs are like this, they do things on the instinct of sinful desire not wise enough to recognize precious things, and do not realize the value of sacred. They follow only food and pleasures of the flesh and regard those things are the most precious value to them.

Jesus says not to give our sacred and precious things which are teachings on heaven, repentance, resurrection, eternal life, etc. Because they will not accept the value or they will not recognize the value and will treat those sacred precious things as valueless so our effort will be in vain even if will be hurt by them. The reason maybe is our given things are not food and not related to meeting flesh.

Enter through the narrow gate.

Verse 13

Jesus says that we enter through the narrow gate. Entering some target places which are heaven and eternal life through the narrow gate. This means that a good place is not gained in an easy or public way. A narrow gate requires some inconvenient action and is lonely somehow because not so many use this gate. In our way to follow Jesus going to the heavenly Father is somewhat lonely and not so easy to go and have troublesome. We have to get this in mind not to be shaken.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Verse 21

Jesus says some important messages to me. Everyone who confesses their sins and believes in Jesus’ name who died for our sins instead is saved from their death and moves to eternal life. Everyone who believes in mind and confesses by voice is saved. So we could think all the people who confess by voice their sins are saved and enter the kingdom of heaven but not all the people who do this confession are going to the kingdom of heaven. Because we don’t know the people who confess by voice are believing in their mind. So, Jesus says the proof of believing in mind is to do the will of God in heaven. If the people who are confessing by voice do not do the will of God of heaven then he maybe is not able to enter the kingdom of heaven.

perform many miracles?’

Verse 22

They who are prohibited to enter heaven may plead why they cannot enter. They say they did prophesy and performed many miracles so why they cannot? But finally, Jesus will say I don’t know who you are. Away from me you evildoers. The reason they cannot enter heaven is that they did so many evil things during they did prophecy and performed many miracles. So we can know the person through the fruit of him. He might be an evildoer and the confession might be fake. He might not believe in Jesus.

So we need to discern the people who are the real Christians by their doing good things, not only by his confession or not only by his words to say even those are good sacred words.
